Challenge
Premium capsule coffee is often dominated by highly rational codes: intensity, origin and dosage. The challenge was to create a stronger emotion around the moments of choosing and tasting.
A premium coffee box that turns each capsule into a travel ritual, combining dark wood, origin landscapes and the tasting gesture.

Visual storytelling
Gate stages coffee as a journey. The box becomes a precious little carriage, with dark wood materiality, gold lines, origin landscapes and capsules presented as collectible pieces. Taking a capsule becomes the opening gesture of a ritual.
The project has been published and shared for its premium coffee territory across design media and social channels.
Gate’s identity is built around the idea of passage: from everyday life to ritual, from counter to journey, from capsule to place of origin.
Premium capsule coffee is often dominated by highly rational codes: intensity, origin and dosage. The challenge was to create a stronger emotion around the moments of choosing and tasting.
We developed narrative, almost theatrical packaging: a side-opening box, a landscape panorama, gold finishes and capsules displayed like a collection. The pack becomes an experience.
Gate creates a memorable, high-end perception. The product feels more prestigious, more giftable, more photogenic and better able to justify a step up in value.
DCD identifies the value drivers of premium coffee: origin, ritual, materiality, gifting, preservation and staging. DATEM turns these signals into emotion: warmth, travel, precision, rarity and pleasure in the gesture.
With Gate, packaging becomes a stage. It does more than display capsules: it creates a moment, a choice and a memory around coffee.
